I have been in love with this song since I was a toddler. My favorite version is still when my mother sings it. (which she doesn't do as often now) When I discovered a few years ago that Bing Crosby had recorded it in the 40s my mother gained a close second to her first place.
I love this song, too. Except it was Nana who used to sing it to me. Last weekend, at the nursing home sing along, they sang this song and she didn't remember it at all. I sang it, but I cried. It will always make me think of her. happy memories :)
